This, the thirteenth largest town in Finland, seems like an extremely quiet town. The sun was visible for a moment, but very few of the 16700 inhabitants are out, or maybe everybody we’ve met are out of towners.

We’re safely in Uusikaupunki (Nystad). Now for the traditional one.

As we ran out of our digital map today, the electronic wunderkid went a bit nuts. Showing only very rough information, the plotter claimed we drove over land. Which we didn’t. We weren’t even close.

The navigation just got more interesting as we don’t have maps for the plotter over the area we entered now. Back to all manual navigation. Good training for us all.

Grey, grey, grey. We are on a 3.4 meter inner route that will take us to Nystad. The closest bigger village at the moment is Lokalahti. Our position is 60 36.38 N 21 24.77 E.

Another gray day. Today we’ll reach the main goal of our odyssey.

Today’s food was chicken breast fillet in tomato sauce with noodles, sallad and wine. It was good (ofcourse since I made it :). Next time we’ll make somewhat hotter food again. It’s good for the colesterol levels, and digestion. Hopefully the next cooking place will have less mosquitos. The chili doesn’t seem to bother them at all.

Pekka is preparing food again. The reason he needs a tissue in front of his mouth is that frying his own chili sauce is bad for your health. Without proper protection you suffer from heavy coughing and uncontrolled sneezing.

The food was good as usual. Not as hot as in Hangö, but nicely warm. Nicke needs more training though. He used this pile of paper for cleaning his running nose during dinner.
