Second port

dag2.jpg

Today we drove about 52 nautical miles to Hang (Hanko). The plan was actually to go as far as Kasns, but we changed our plans to be able to enjoy sauna and eat before midnight. Here’s a selection of today’s photos.

The food of this evening, the very hot (chili) hash code-named disaster (which turned out to be more of a success than a disaster) was served with wine and sallad.

Some like it hot, some like it even hotter, and some just enjoy the pain. Pain is what our captain thought when he ate the food. Pain is his game. He took even more of the hash. Way to go!

Day two

We just realised that we haven’t put up any pictures of the vessel we are travelling with. Here it is from quite an awkward angle. Better ones are coming later.

The currently ongoing activity is dinner preparation and aperitif drinking. On the menu today is a hash of Chorizo, onions, eggs and yesterdays potatoes (at the moment code-named disaster). Cough! The chili fumes are reaching the cabin.

The journey continues at 11 knots towards west. Nothing slows us down, not even very good ham and cheese sandwiches with mustard, black pepper and garlic cottage cheese. We’re approaching Hangö (Hankoo).

Something different

If you are into smells, we can heartly recommend the toilets on Orslandet. I haven’t felt an ammonium breeze that strong since one time in the army when I dug out my sweaty t-shirt from the closet after it had been soaking for two weeks. It kind of wakes you up, ammonium.

anchors away

We left stora svartö and will be going around the porkala peninsula soon. The weather is fair, a bit cloudy but very little wind.

Breakfast

The harbour fee at this helsinki owned island is 5 euro. Not so windy today, and the wind direction seems to be more suitable for our ongoing odyssey towards Nystad (Uusikaupunki).
