Cloudy, windy and rainy. Early start? Not.
Dinner
No boat trip today but good food instead. Herring, new potatoes, schnapps, beer, wine and beef. Tomorrow we will try for an early start. Let’s see, it’s already way past midnight.
Yoho, ahoy
So we didn’t get ourselves on the sea today, but we got a rather good grilled meal and a nice sauna. Tomorrow we’ll be heading west.
The waiting
The tasks of the task list done. Check.
All items on the shopping list shopped. Check.
Bags stuffed full with clothes, stuff and even more stuff. Check.
Everything seems to be in order. What remains is the waiting. The waiting for the other crew members to get their tasks done. I suspect we won’t begin our journey today.
Start today or tomorrow?
The question right now is: will the start be today or tomorrow? Nicke, the boat owner, still has quite a lot of things to do and after that we need to shop and most probably eat. There is no point in starting late in the afternoon as we don’t wan’t to drive the boat by night.
my list
My shopping and to-do list for the journey includes, among other things, coffee, a home made hot chili sauce and other spices.
Some planning
We did the some trip planning in a pub called Kaisla on Thursday. This was actually the second planning round. On the first one we just decided when to start and where to go. The start will be on July the 19th or the 20th depending on circumstances. The goal is Nystad (Uusikaupunki).
The feeling and general plan this year is that we will take it slow and not have any definite plans. Let’s see. After Nystad we will start heading back slowly.
As a result of the meeting each of us left with a shopping and to-do list. My notes are in the picture. As this is the fourth time we do this, the session didn’t take that long. Still, it seems it would be a good idea to make a list of things to remember and keep it for the next year. But maybe we are not that well organised…
