Nice islanders

The island of Aspö is very beautiful.

The aboriginal tribe of Aspö took care of us in a nice way. First they heated us up in an oven and then they boiled us. Fortunately we didn’t get eaten by anything else than a lot of mosquitos, which weren’t as mean as the ones in Keistiö. This is a very nice island.

Dessert

For the first time on this journey ever, we made dessert. Pancakes with strawberry jam and whipped cream.

Heading for Aspö

We filled her up with 66.6 liters of light heating oil and are going for Aspö. The weather continues to suck so we might change our minds.

Right before leaving an old and traditional looking beauty parked next to us. It turned out that it was not old at all but built in 1999 according to a model found in a museum.

The motor is a one cylinder Wickström from 1925. The owner is running it on paint thinner at the moment but will switch to cheaper Estonian gasoline later. With a 1000 liter tank and a small motor you do not need to fill up that often.

Paint thinner is something we could consider for Haffsårkestern who also considers todays gas ignites far too easily.
